TELUS is building channel and partner program for its products and services. We're looking for an individual to work alongside the Director of Customer Marketing, to leverage it within the value-added re-seller (VAR), telecommunications broker, agents, and other businesses in Canada, United States of America (USA) and globally.
Develop selected partners to successfully promote and refer TELUS services, from our connectivity and network backbone, to managed services, security solutions, cloud, unified communication, Internet of Things (IoT), health, and mobility. You will have various subject matter experts to help train and support you in the partner community.

The Channel Manager is a quarterback responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding relationships with the reseller community, small and large. Duties of the Channel Manager include:
•Define the programs and continually addressing needs to transform and meet TELUS Partner Solutions' sales requirements
•Develop the strategy to expand coverage and address channel gaps
•Promote the benefits of the TELUS Partner Solutions channel and our channel partner programs
•Perform monthly and quarterly business reviews with both internal management teams and our channel partners
•Train, mentor, and motivate channel partners
•Generate additional demand through partner events
•Drive leads across Canada, the U.S.A. and global regions to align with our targeted product offerings and regional focus
•Study the market for newer trends and report the same to the leadership team
•Use salesforce.com for partner forecast and funnel management
•Ensure channel partners sign proper contracts/agreements
•Manage potential channel conflicts
•Foster relationships between channel partners and TELUS Account Managers
•Exceed key performance indicators (KPIs), leads, wins, etc

You're likely in a similar role today with about eight years of experience in a face-to-face channel partner sales environment, applying formal sales methodologies. You'll be asked to demonstrate your relationships within the Information Technology (IT) VAR, direct market re-seller, managed service provider, consulting, and the general re-seller community within Canada, the USA and global markets. You have knowledge of the IT landscape or experience in similar complex solution environments. You have knowledge of or experience with most of the items below:
•Excellent relationship-building skills
•Business and technical acumen: Demonstrated ability to identify and articulate financially sound TELUS solutions to customers and partners business challenges through understanding the technologies, products, services, and resources
•Strong sensitivity to partner needs and situations, analytical ability in discerning priority and non-priority issues, making decisions from a number of alternatives based on logic and fact, and capable of using persuasiveness in negotiating mutually satisfactory resolutions
•Proven ability to create corporate relationships between TELUS and our partners that are characterized by mutual trust and respect for the TELUS value proposition Who is TELUS?
