The Opportunity:
WSP is currently seeking for a Field Technologist/Technician for our Land Development group. This position is based in our Winnipeg office and will be responsible to work on projects with a focus on public and private clients involving water and wastewater systems, storm water management, road design and land development.

What you'll bring to WSP:
• 1 to 10 years of relevant (post-diploma) experience working in a consulting engineering or construction environment
• A civil technology/technician diploma in civil engineering from an accredited college
• Eligible for registration as a Technologist/Technician with registration with CTTAM
• Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Be able to work in diverse teams, and in rural settings
• Be diligent and hard working to deliver high quality results
• Can prioritize time and demands

What you can expect to do here:
- Provide technical support in Land Development projects, including topographic surveys; design and construction; contract administration, including construction layout
- Proficient in the operation of survey equipment, including GPS equipment. Must be able to undertake preliminary surveys, construction layout, volume, and quantity calculations.
- Experience in Material Testing and Inspection would be an asset
- Proficient or a working ability with AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- Complete daily inspections and contribute to sections of technical reporting under the direction and supervision of intermediate and senior engineers
- Participate in and promote a safety-first culture
- Other duties as assigned
