Your Impact
  • Lead complex and standard bridge projects from concept through detailed design, ensuring high-quality and technically sound outcomes.
  • Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs for bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other civil structures supporting major transportation corridors.
  • Conduct inspections, structural assessments, and rehabilitation designs that enhance the longevity and safety of existing assets.
  • Prepare construction quantities, cost estimates, and documentation to support tendering and funding decisions.
  • Complete independent reviews and quality assurance checks to maintain technical excellence across deliverables.
  • Produce specifications and contract documents tailored for successful procurement and construction phases.
  • Review shop drawings and provide field engineering support to ensure alignment between design intent and construction execution.
  • Mentor and guide technical staff, helping grow capability within the bridge engineering group.
  • Support client relationship development by providing leadership, insight, and technical credibility.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports and proposals that contribute to securing new work and delivering value to clients.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • A degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on bridges, supported by a Professional Engineer licence in Manitoba (or eligibility via mobility).
  • 10+ years of experience delivering detailed bridge designs, including projects with complex geometry and multidisciplinary interfaces.
  • Strong technical proficiency using structural analysis tools such as CSIBridge and MIDAS.
  • Deep knowledge of design codes and standards, particularly CAN/CSA-S6.
  • Demonstrated experience in structural inspection, assessment, rehabilitation work, and field review during construction.
  • An ability to lead, mentor, and inspire technical teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Skilled at building positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues through thoughtful communication and problem-solving.

Compensation:
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $162,200 - $212,200
MB & ON: $148,000 - $198,000
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $146,500 - $194,600
