Job Description:
We are seeking a technically skilled, analytically driven Manager, Insider Risk Data & Analytics to support our growing Insider Threat Detection program. This role is central to building a robust data foundation and analytical framework for detecting high-risk user behavior across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of data sourcing strategies, data validation, and behavioral analytics to uncover patterns that may indicate insider threats. You'll work both independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams to build insights and drive detection use cases that protect our people, data, and reputation.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
Insider Risk Detection Strategy & Execution
- Contribute to the development of the insider risk detection strategy, aligning data and analytics with defined use cases (fraud, data exfiltration, policy violations, etc.)
- Evaluate new data sources for feasibility and detection value to proactively identify indicators of insider threats
- Leverage data systems and various sources to ensure team is equipped to formulate well defined solutions to solve business problems.
- Ensure team leverages knowledge of data capabilities across the organization to build and deliver on business analytics and insights.
- Manage escalated client issues or priorities and reach out to appropriate areas to resolve or minimize business problems/issues.
- Apply judgement, discretion and collaborate with internal partners to navigate and resolve ambiguous issues.
- Review and/or contribute on the presentation of insights back to executive leaders / business partners to drive strategic improvement; also responsible for contributing to overall direction of team regarding emerging tools/ techniques/ methods in presenting or visualizing key information.
Data Sourcing & Integration
- Lead and support data sourcing efforts: identify and acquire internal and external data sources (e.g., transactions, DLP, identity systems, access logs, endpoints, productivity tools)
- Collaborate with InfoSec, HR, IT, and business partners to map data sources to insider risk use cases
- Ensure data coverage, integrity, and continuity for relevant detection domains
Data Quality & Validation
- Perform data validation and profiling to ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and consistency
- Build automated checks and monitors to validate pipelines, flags, and usage patterns across datasets
- Troubleshoot and remediate data gaps or corruption that could impact detection fidelity
- Support UEBA platform tuning and rules enhancement by providing meaningful insights from source data
Team Collaboration & Ownership
- Act as a trusted data expert and analytics translator within the Insider Risk team
- Lead initiatives individually or contribute to team-based projects with minimal oversight, manage teams of Business Insights & Analytics professionals/specialists
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and collaborative problem-solving
- Manage oversight process, risk-based ientification and monitoring of related risks and regulatory compliance across the supported functions, while ensuring key controls and processes are effectively managed.
- Ensure team collaboration with partners on business problems/issues and provide fact-based analytical advice that aligns to strategy and drives shareholder value.
- Collaborate with business partners to shape and prioritize ad hoc analysis.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on skills in SQL, Python, Spark, or similar for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
- Experience working with transactional data, log data, event data, user telemetry, or digital behavior trails
- Familiarity with UEBA, SIEM, DLP, IAM, and endpoint data preferred
Domain Knowledge
- Understanding of insider threat concepts, behavioral indicators, and risk typologies
- Experience working with structured/unstructured data related to financial transactions, access logs, entitlements, HR events, or security alerts
Soft Skills & Ownership
- Proven ability to work independently or in a matrixed team setting
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end analytical projects
EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION
- Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science) graduate degree preferred with either progressive project work experience or
- 5+ years of relevant experience; higher degree education and research tenure can be counted
