The Department of Professional Practice (DPP) develops firm requirements and guidance relating to
DPP provides technical guidance to engagement teams on engagement- specific issues; develops and disseminates specific guidance on emerging technical, professional, and quality issues; and assists with firm and individual issues pertaining to compliance with regulatory and professional standards including supporting teams in the performance of quality engagements.

The expected base salary range for this position is $67,500 to $150,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.

The Department of Professional Practice (DPP) develops firm requirements and guidance relating to
- financial and sustainability reporting (DPP Accounting and Financial Reporting),
- audit and assurance (DPP Audit & Assurance),
- securities (DPP Securities) and
- engagement performance quality matters (DPP Audit Quality)
DPP provides technical guidance to engagement teams on engagement- specific issues; develops and disseminates specific guidance on emerging technical, professional, and quality issues; and assists with firm and individual issues pertaining to compliance with regulatory and professional standards including supporting teams in the performance of quality engagements.
What you will do
- Support the DPP Audit & Assurance group with methodology matters including:
- Supporting engagement teams with the application of our audit methodology in our workflow tool and our audit manual.
- Developing, enhancing, and maintaining Canadian content related to the application of the methodology.
- Developing, updating, and delivering training sessions related to the application of the methodology, as necessary.
- Support the DPP Audit & Assurance group with Customization and Translation (C&T) matters, including:
- Our standardization initiative.
- Other C&T related projects.
- Collaborate on other ad hoc projects as necessary, including with other DPP Audit and Assurance teams, other DPP groups, and related work with Leaders in DPP, Risk Management, ITS and the Office of General Counsel (OGC).
- 5+ years of experience in the audit practice.
- CPA Designation or equivalent education.
- Dedication and strong work effort.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities.
- Drive to achieve high standards of service and professionalism in the performance of duties.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excels at delivering presentations to variety of audiences.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as in groups.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude, self-starter and self-motivated.
- Must display good judgment.
- Proficiency in English at a business level is required
