What is the opportunity?

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Mortgage Specialist Assistant to support two of our Mortgage Specialists in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The successful applicant will be working primarily from their home office. Applicants with strong digital capabilities are a must have for this role.

What will you do?
  • Ensures Mortgage Specialist's needs are proactively identified and provides required information/documents for him/her to complete duties. Gathers and prepares material required for presentations, marketing initiatives, etc.
  • Manage Mortgage Specialist's e-mail/mail, proactively responding to correspondence/requests and prioritizes for Mortgage Specialist needs
  • Ensures Mortgage Specialist's diary is effectively time managed to create capacity for all required activities
  • Manages office routines and expenses ensuring efficiency is maintained through availability of equipment and supplies and effective management of files and records
  • Resourceful and able to work independently. Support the Mortgage Specialist to complete/validate Linx files and ensures due diligence requirements have been met prior to submission to Credit Granting


  • What do you need to succeed?

    Must-have
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent communications skills, oral/written skills.
  • Strong skills in problem solving.
  • Strong customer service, listening and understanding skills and adapting quickly to needs.
  • Resourceful and able to work independently.
  • Strong marketing, activating social media presence for the mortgage specialists via Hearsay application
  • Event planning knowledge


  • Nice-to-have
  • Knowledge and strong presence of mortgage and real estate industry an asset.
  • Familiar with procedures relative to mortgage documentation, credit granting, anti-money laundering etc.
  • The ability to develop relationships with service partners , to are adhere to operational guidelines and for transactions to be processed.
  • Knowledge of Royal Bank systems including Sales & Service Platform, RBCNet would be an asset.
