On behalf of our client, AGI – Westfield, we are searching for a driven and skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join their manufacturing team located in Rosenort, Manitoba.   Over the last 60 years, Westfield has developed and refined the finest grain augers available. As a result, Westfield has grown to be the number one portable grain auger manufacturer in North America. 

As the Westfield Industries Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, training, and monitoring process and product manufacturing to ensure adherence to the quality assurance program. Reporting directly to the Quality Control Coordinator, this position plays a key role in meeting overall Quality performance.


  • Deploy and document control plans and process compliance
  • Develop and implement corrective actions, and review for effectiveness
  • Develop and present strategies, deploy tactics to address quality issues
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to company policy and quality procedures
  • Assist customers and support customer service
  • Complete process and product audits in accordance with Westfield policies and procedures
  • Document audit results in written reports as required
  • Develop and coordinate training as required
  • Additional duties as assigned


  • Valid driver license
  • Average typing speed of 40 wpm
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • High School or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years relevant professional experience within quality/manufacturing sector, preferably in steel fabrication
  • Certificate in Quality Management / ASQ Certification considered assets
  • Understanding of metal manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing & Continuous Improvement processes
  • An effective communicator, leader and trainer who can work with all levels of management and non-supervisory employees to execute the responsibilities of this role
  • Able to exercise good judgment and initiative
