Position Overview

This position is responsible for maintaining the performance of guards on evening and night shift. Ensuring that standard orders are followed. This position is also responsible for the operational health and safety compliance for the site.

Essential Job Functions
  • Ensures that all services provided by staff assigned within the portfolio are delivered per the client's wishes and best interests and in accordance with Paladin's Code of Ethics.
  • Managing emergencies effectively and responsibly.
  • Ensure all security staff are fully trained and conversant with the Post Orders and Standing Operating Procedures.
  • Coordinate and assist with all company mandated training.
  • Ensure all security staff has completed the assigned training and are fully conversant with their duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensure all Security Guards are fully trained in writing perspective reports.
  • Resolve any on-site personnel conflicts by helping conduct internal investigations.
  • Monitoring and providing support for the site team.
  • Ensure reports and returns are completed accurately and submitted on or before the dates stipulated by the Client, and Security Program Manager.
  • Ensure you have a detailed knowledge of the site National Standard and SOPs and the Post Orders.
  • Maintain operational knowledge off the site's Fire Plan.
  • Ensure that the dress and deportment of all guards are consistent with the Post Orders and Paladin's Dress regulations.
  • Knowledge of standardized Health and Safety compliance.
  • Ensure that the Security department has an up-to-date, and complete Occupational Health and Safety manuals and conduct regular checks with each officer assigned to the site.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Two years of experience in the security industry
  • A minimum of Grade 12 diploma
  • Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services
  • The ability to work overnight shifts and have reliable transportation to remote locations within Winnipeg.
