As a Senior Strategy Manager within our Technology Strategy & Business Transformation (TSBT) team, you will be directly responsible for defining strategies and developing business cases to help TELUS deliver the most advanced technologies in support of improving the lives of Canadians. The TSBT team is at the heart of building TELUS' next-generation networks, Information Technology (IT) and services roadmap, and leading the charge to drive TELUS' multi-billion dollar investments in best-in-class technology solutions. You would be joining a team of passionate innovators who are at the forefront of developing secure, state-of-the-art technologies that transform the way we deliver services in an increasingly digital society. Our diverse, cross-functional team is also responsible for evolving TELUS' business models, supply chain, and technology investments so that our customers get faster access to the latest services.

We are looking for a highly-motivated, creative strategist to join our Strategic Initiatives team within TSBT organization. You will be joining a multi-functional and experienced team that is executing successfully against various business objectives, and we will look to you to work closely with senior leaders across the organization to drive key transformational and innovation initiatives. You will be part of a small team with a big scope, responsible for strategic planning and reporting, business enablement, marketing, scorecard tracking, resource management, leadership development, and engagement initiatives.

Our industry and technologies are constantly changing, so a key part of being successful in this role involves being able to adapt and thrive in an environment of change, on any given day, you could be developing a presentation for our Board of Directors, a capital investment strategy for our technology roadmap, a business case on our financials and a change management plan for an organizational initiative. If you're a whizz at numbers and bring a combination of deep financial expertise, strong business acumen and telecommunications industry knowledge, along with insatiable curiosity, relentless drive and limitless optimism, we'll be excited to have you join heads with us at the table to tackle some of our biggest opportunities and challenges.

Here's how
    •Prime the development and delivery of Board, Executive and business unit level presentations and strategic planning •Support TSBT scorecard development and management •Work with key stakeholders on financial/business analysis, business case development and our capital governance process •Lead special projects from idea-creation to complex analysis, proposal, and implementation •Offer thought leadership on the future of technology in our industry including transformation, innovation, competitive trends and practice


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •Deep understanding of telecommunications network technologies, architectures, and business models •Proven ability to synthesize complex technical concepts into meaningful communications and recommendations •Excellent written and verbal communication skills with expertise in preparing Microsoft (MS) PowerPoint or Google Slides for executive-level audiences •Proven leadership skills, with an ability to work with all levels of the leadership team including executives •Ability to effectively engage stakeholders to establish cross-functional alignment for projects and initiatives •Proven aptitude in managing high volume workloads while paying close attention to details •Ability to learn quickly from success or failure, apply sound judgement, and exercise leadership in times of change and ambiguity •Strong project management skills with a proven track record in leading and delivering complex projects •Expertise in finance, accounting practices and economic analysis •Expert-level knowledge of MS Office and Google G-Suite

    •7-10+ years of experience in financial analysis and reporting •7-10 years of business analysis and strategy development experience •Background in telecommunications and/or consulting •Bilingualism in English & French
