Job Description:

The Treasury & Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) Funding team's purpose is to manage & execute the bank's long-term funding programs at the lowest possible cost of funds while maintaining target capital, liquidity & funding diversification levels. The team has a diverse stakeholder interaction model including Legal, Investor Relations, TD Securities, and Finance. This position offers an excellent opportunity to leverage capital markets, analytical, strategic and relationship management skills to support cost of funds optimization.

Role Description:

The Funding team is seeking a dynamic team member that can execute analytical and operational processes pertaining to TD's secured funding programs.

Primary Purpose:
  • The Senior Treasury Analyst - Funding supports the organization's long-term funding strategy by leading the portfolio administration for TD's Legislative Covered Bond and Evergreen Credit Card Asset Backed-Security programs. The role entails engagements with key areas across TBSM, Finance, Legal, Credit Cards and RESL as well as key external stakeholders. This role ensures accurate reporting, strict governance/ compliance and supports day-to-day maintenance of the programs.

Key Accountabilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Monitor various program requirements, forecasting and controls.
  • Provide guidance to the Secured Funding team responsible for program administration, analytics, reporting and compliance of the NHA Mortgage-Backed Securities (NHA MBS), Canada Mortgage Bond (CMB), Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) and Covered Bond program.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with segment partners, CMHC and other internal/external partners.
  • Assist in development and renewal of various funding programs, updating prospectus, compliance and other documentation as regulatory requirements arise.
  • Support strong working relationships with segment partners, optimizing forecasting, planning and analytics of various funding programs.
  • Manage design, implementation, and execution of improvements to processes, policies, and tools to meet regulatory/strategic objectives.

Key Requirements:
  • Experience in Treasury, Funding and Finance OR in a similar role in securitization and secured funding programs management.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively, whilst executing project requirements.
  • Expert process management skills, detailing cross-functional stakeholder group activities.
  • Financial planning, analytics, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-tasked environment, manage deadlines and adapt well to changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to synthesize product segment impact.
  • Strong team player that enjoys knowledge sharing and documentation.
  • Accounting acumen, inclusive of financial modelling.
  • Ability to articulate financial analysis via business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Power Query & SQL.

Role Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Legal or Economics
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience in financial and regulatory requirements of funding programs.
  • 3+ years of complimentary experience.
  • Extreme proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI and Visio.
  • Stellar verbal and written communication skills across diverse audiences.
