As a Software Engineer in S3 Access and Routing Experience (ARX), you will build and maintain globally highly available services that provide robust, safe and scalable ways for customers to route traffic to the S3 fleet. You will these services using modern languages and highly available solutions like DynamoDB and SQS, on UNIX-flavored platforms. On-Call Responsibility S3 services are highly available, but there are times when we occasionally stray away from our normal operations. To minimize the impact of such excursions, we have on-call rotations. However, we set these up so there are focused time periods when you are on-call and when you are not, so you can focus on your day job when not on-call.

About the team
This is a relatively new team which is heavily focused on building systems to automate certificate lifecycle across S3. If you are interested in designing and building components which would help secure S3's customer traffic as it grows to Petabyte scale, this is the right place for you.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
- Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree in Computer Science
- 3+ years of professional software experience
- Experience in building software at scale
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Experience at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as ability to think abstractly
- Experience in understanding customer requirements, building and delivering products based on those requirements.
- Experience in building services using AWS solutions e.g. DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS/SNS
- Previous experience in compute infrastructure domain is preferred but not necessary.
