Summary: We are currently seeking a Truck Sales Manager for our Winnipeg location. This position will be based out of our Winnipeg branch but will have sales responsibilites throughout the province of Manitoba and North Western Ontario.
The Truck Sales Manager will be responsible for the sales and marketing of all classes of new and used trucks. This position is accountable for achieving the set objectives for growth in Inland Kenworth's market share of new trucks, ensuring customer retention and profitability by hiring, training, and measuring the performance of truck sales consultants, managing new and used truck inventories and establishing customer-focused sales standards.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) essential
Post-secondary education in sales and marketing preferred
Post-secondary diploma or certificate in business preferred
Medium and heavy duty truck sales experience preferred
Management/supervisory experience preferred
Four to ten years related experience and/or training
Familiarity with advertising mediums, terms, success rates, etc.
Ability to read and interpret financial data including income statements and balance sheets is preferred
Ability to use budget forecasting and trend analysis techniques is preferred
Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (Class 3 preferred, Class 1 is an asset)
Must be able to lift up to 25 kg and carry short distances
Must be able to climb into and out of commercial transport vehicles
Excellent leadership skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills
