Job Description

As an Agile Project Lead III within our organization, you'll do just that. Using leading-edge technology, you'll help connect British Columbians to healthy and safe workplaces - providing support for injury prevention programs, rehabilitation services, workplace insurance, and strong health and safety cultures.

In this role, you'll lead and manage concurrent, large, complex multi-million-dollar ITAP projects from conceptualization to delivery in on-prem or Cloud environments. You'll oversee multiple project teams and various project lifecycles, managing goals, objectives, and deliverables for new development projects or enhancements. You'll also play a key role in vendor management, ensuring external partners meet performance expectations, contractual obligations, and delivery timelines.

Where you'll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines working remotely, and in our offices based on the operational needs of the position.
  • Establish project management and/or agile practices in the delivery of concurrent, large, complex projects and programs
  • Oversee multi-function project teams and provide direction to ensure a successful delivery of projects
  • Define project scope and schedule to meet business objectives, ensuring regular and timely delivery of the business value
  • Develop program and project proposals by negotiating all proposal components with business stakeholders and senior management
  • Identify anticipated project risk(s) and present business stakeholders with potential recommendations based on a thorough completion of project risk-benefit analysis
  • Assist IT Manager(s) in annual budget preparation and tactical and strategic plans for a line of business or an IT department.
  • Ensure alignment between vendor deliverables and project goals, proactively addressing risks and dependencies
  • Consistently models the appropriate level of organizational behaviours expected of all WorkSafeBC employees: responsive, respectful, fair, collaborative, accountable, and forward thinking.
We're looking for people who can:
  • Communicate diplomatically and effectively both verbally and in writing with stakeholders across multiple business areas and roles
  • Coach and provide frequent feedback on performance to project team members to ensure a smooth completion of deadlines
  • Work effectively in a past-faced, often stressful environments with competing deadlines and goals
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing necessary process improvements within I&T project teams
  • Utilize solid technical background to provide leadership to development teams working on multiple large, complex I&T projects or programs
  • Blend Agile and traditional project management principles and practices in large, complex I&T projects or programs based on the business environment
Your background and experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Business Management or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
  • A minimum of 9 years of direct hands-on experience in project management, managing large, complex, IT projects

Salary : $53.08 - $68.61/hourly
