The Assistant Site Manager is responsible for the supervision and direction of all officers and supervisors assigned to the site, submission, and coordination of all daily/weekly site reports to the Client Services Manager, training and site orientation of all new officers. The Assistant Site Manager will also be responsible for maintaining the daily operation of the site schedule. This position reports to the Client Services Manager.

Essential Job Functions:
• Train new guards at the site.
• Respond professionally to site emergencies (alarms, medical emergencies, fires and other urgent matters) in accordance with site orders.
• Review patrol reports from all officers assigned to the site and corrects any deficiencies noted.
• Review and approve/deny any vacation requests by officers assigned to the site.
• Assist in the maintenance of the site schedule, working with the Scheduling Manager to ensure all shifts are filled.
• Coach and mentor all officers assigned to the site, liaise with CSM Paladin Office to relay any performance or coaching instances.
• Maintain detailed, working knowledge of the SOPs and their implementation.
• Monitor site visitors, camera, and alarm systems to ensure safety and access in accordance with site policies and procedures.
• Prevent theft, violence or infraction of rules and regulations within the scope of the site SOPs.
• Prepare and maintain professional and effective reports regarding the activities, security violations and hazardous occurrences on-site.
• Ensure that their team members, upon arrival at the site, have their security guard license and their dress and deportment are appropriate.
• Ensure that all patrols are completed and logged in an efficient and timely fashion.
• Assist Client Services Manager/Security Manager in the completion of performance evaluations on all direct reports.
• Ensure staff are adhering to relevant Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) legislation and site-specific safety guidelines, and that staff have reviewed and understood Paladin's OH&S policies and procedures.
• Ensures proper onboarding and training are provided to newly hired staff and that newly trained staff are able to demonstrate an acceptable level of site knowledge.
• Ensure all security staff are fully trained and conversant with the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Other duties as required from time to time.
Required Qualifications:
• Completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of relevant experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
• Completion of Supervisory training levels 1,2 and 3 and site assigned LMS courses
• Current First Aid/ CPR certificate
• Current/valid CPI (NVCI) certificate
• Working knowledge of appropriate legislation and provincial/national standards on fire safety, building codes, security, and protection of privacy.
• Proven leadership skills complimented by a strong understanding of Paladin's core values and culture.
• Be able to manage own time and perform duties consistently under minimum supervision.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office Suite) and organizational skills.
• Able to perform consistently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.
