The Opportunity
Join our Advanced Weather Intelligence team and help deliver meteorological and oceanographic modeling that supports critical decision-making for terrestrial and marine clients. Based in St. John's, NL, this permanent role offers the chance to apply your expertise in numerical modeling and cloud-based solutions to projects where safety, resilience, and performance are essential.

Your Impact

Configure, install, operate, monitor, and maintain numerical weather prediction models (WRF and MPAS) in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
Deploy and manage sea state models (WW3) to deliver accurate marine forecasts.
Perform cloud-based data management activities to ensure reliable and scalable workflows.
Conduct scientific model validations to maintain accuracy and integrity.
Apply machine learning techniques to integrate metocean models and observations for site-specific solutions.

The Skills That Set You Apart

Master's or PhD in Meteorology, Oceanography, Climatology, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in metocean modeling and numerical weather prediction.
Strong capability in computer science, ideally with cloud-based scientific programming experience.
Familiarity with machine learning applications and statistical analysis for environmental data.
A passion for leveraging technology to improve safety and resilience in complex environments.
