About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Product Group Owner (PGO) to lead the Onboarding Product Group. This role will report to the Executive Product Owner of the Colleague Journey, within the HR function. This is a people leadership role accountable for the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of the end-to-end onboarding experience for colleagues joining TD.

As Product Group Owner, you will shape the vision, roadmap, and outcomes for Enterprise onboarding solutions, ensuring that colleagues experience a seamless, engaging, and compliant start to their career with us. You will work in close partnership with the Executive Product Owner of the Colleague Journey, HR Centers of Excellence, Technology, and Business leaders to deliver onboarding experiences that accelerate time-to-productivity, foster connection, and set colleagues up for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management
  • Lead and develop the Onboarding product group, including Product Owners, Analysts, and Agile team members.
  • Act as a servant leader, empowering teams, removing barriers, and building capability in Agile product management.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation within your group.

Agile Product Ownership
  • Own the Onboarding product vision and roadmap, aligned to the broader Colleague Journey strategy.
  • Translate enterprise goals into prioritized backlogs, epics, and features with measurable business and colleague outcomes.
  • Operate within a Scaled Agile framework (SAFe or similar), ensuring delivery across multiple squads.
  • Champion a test-and-learn mindset, using data and colleague feedback to guide improvements.

Strategy & Delivery
  • Deliver a world-class onboarding experience that is simple, engaging, compliant, and scalable across the bank.
  • Partner with HR COEs, Technology, Risk, and Business leaders to ensure solutions integrate seamlessly into the broader colleague lifecycle.
  • Drive automation, personalization, and digital enablement to reduce friction and accelerate colleague impact.
  • Ensure all solutions meet regulatory, compliance, and risk standards.

Measurement & Outcomes
  • Define and track success metrics such as time-to-productivity, onboarding satisfaction, first-year retention, and colleague engagement.
  • Continuously optimize onboarding journeys using analytics, benchmarks, and best practices.
  • Ensure product group outcomes align with the enterprise talent strategy and the Colleague Journey roadmap.

Qualifications

Required
  • 8+ years in Product Management, HR Technology, or Employee Experience, with at least 3 years in a people leadership role.
  • Experience in Agile product delivery (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban), with proven success managing work in Agile.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and delivering onboarding and early-career experiences in large, complex organizations.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills with the ability to align diverse senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to convey vision, priorities, and outcomes.

Preferred
  • Experience in banking, financial services, or equivalently regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with and experience building products in Workday, ServiceNow, Degreed, SuccessFactors, or other onboarding/HR platforms.
  • Understanding of skills-based talent models and future-of-work trends in employee experience.
