Proposal Specialist
Location: Remote - Canada Wide

Position Overview
The IT Proposal Specialist will take end-to-end ownership of assigned IT services proposals. This includes both project management and technical proposal writing. They will review and evaluate RFPs, select and manage response teams, independently write high-quality technical responses, submit proposals on time, create elegant and compelling proposal presentations, be accountable for the quality and timeliness of deliverables, and complete proposals-related administrative tasks. They will achieve target win rates.
Key Responsibilities:

Take end-to-end ownership of assigned IT solutions and services proposals.

Review and evaluate RFPs.

Select and manage internal and partner response teams.

Use prior industry knowledge, education, and internal and external research to independently write high-quality technical responses.

Customize pre-written content to fit the proposal context.

Update the content repository with new or better content.

Create elegant and compelling proposal presentations.

Produce timely, clean, clear, compliant, complete, and compelling deliverables.

Complete proposals-related administrative tasks.

Achieve target win rates.

Occasionally help with special projects across the organization.
Requirements:
Education and Experience
-
More than 5 years of direct experience in IT proposal writing and proposal management for North American clients in the public sector.

Post-secondary education or professional technical certifications in IT.

Prior technical knowledge of IT services and IT concepts.
Technical Knowledge
-
Familiar with concepts such as public sector procurement, RFP lifecycle, IT procurement, IT services and delivery models, bid qualification, sales enablement, pricing models, proposal presentations, and contract reviews and negotiations.

Understanding of technology concepts such as end user computing, networks, servers, storage, cloud, security, and artificial intelligence.

Deliverables are timely, clean, clear, compliant, complete, and compelling.

Ability to energetically manage concurrent deals, client deadlines, and fast pace.

Expert-level skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel are required. Proficiency in SharePoint is desirable.
Work Conditions
This role can be fulfilled remotely from anywhere in Canada with good internet connectivity and a distraction-free environment for working at home. Work hours will need to match business hours in the Pacific Time Zone. The role requires flexibility in work hours to accommodate client deadlines.
