In this role within the Air Quality & Greenhouse Gas Management practice, you will be a senior leader and recognized subject matter expert, responsible for driving innovation, excellence, and strategic growth in our air quality and GHG practice. What you can expect to do here:
Strategic & Technical Leadership
  • Lead air quality and GHG management projects, including compliance, monitoring, modeling, reporting, and decarbonization strategies.
  • Champion innovative methodologies, digital tools, and technical excellence.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, internal teams, and WSP leadership.
  • Ensure successful project delivery across a diverse, high-impact portfolio.
  • Mentor and inspire technical staff, fostering growth and innovation.
  • Represent WSP in industry forums, driving thought leadership and best practices.
Business Growth & Client Engagement
  • Drive business development while leading project execution as a seller/doer.
  • Build strong client relationships and lead strategic proposal development.
  • Collaborate across geographies and business lines to expand reach.
  • Increase visibility through knowledge sharing at industry events and client engagements.
  • Contribute to win strategies and ensure client satisfaction.
Project & People Management
  • Build and lead high-performing teams with a focus on excellence and accountability.
  • Manage risk across major pursuits, including contract and fee reviews.
  • Foster cross-sector collaboration and internal partnerships.
  • Support talent attraction, engagement, and succession planning.
  • Communicate vision and strategy to ensure team alignment and engagement.
What you'll bring to WSP:
Education & Credentials: Bachelor's in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Atmospheric Science, or related field; Master's/PhD preferred. P.Eng. registration in Ontario is an asset.
  • Experience: 15-20 years in air quality, GHG, or climate consulting, with 10+ in senior leadership. Proven success managing complex projects and portfolios.
  • Expertise: Skilled in air quality modeling (AERMOD, CALPUFF, ASHRAE), ambient monitoring, land use compatibility, and expert testimony. Experience in permitting, GHG quantification, and decarbonization is a plus.
  • Leadership & Strategy: Strong business development and client management skills. Strategic thinker with deep market insight and team leadership experience.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Canadian/international air quality and GHG regulations. Proficient in modeling tools and digital platforms.
  • Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Other: Active in professional associations; eligible for federal security clearance.
