What you can expect to do here:

Strategic & Technical Leadership
Provide visionary leadership and technical oversight for air quality and GHG management projects, including regulatory compliance, ambient air monitoring, air quality assessment, dispersion modeling, land use compatibility assessments, environmental reporting, and decarbonization strategies.
Champion the development and implementation of cutting-edge methodologies, digital tools, and innovation initiatives.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, internal stakeholders, and WSP leadership on air quality and GHG management.
Oversee project delivery, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and profitability across a diverse portfolio of high-impact projects.
Mentor and inspire technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and talent development.
Represent the organization in industry associations, technical committees, and client engagements, driving thought leadership and best practices.
Business Growth & Client Engagement
Act as a "seller/doer" by actively engaging in business development while leading project execution.
Drive business growth through strategic client relationship management, opportunity identification, and proposal development.
Collaborate with other leaders to expand our reach across geographies and business lines.
Increase the organization's visibility by sharing knowledge and innovation at key industry events and client engagements.
Lead and contribute to win strategies, ensuring successful project execution and client satisfaction.
Project & People Management
Build and lead high-performing teams, inspiring excellence and accountability throughout project lifecycles.
Oversee risk management, including contract, fee, and proposal reviews for major pursuits.
Foster strong partnerships with business leaders in other sectors to drive collaboration and growth.
Support the attraction, engagement, and retention of top talent, contributing to succession planning and organizational development.
Communicate vision, strategy, and progress to staff, ensuring alignment and engagement.

What you'll bring to WSP:
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Atmospheric Science, or a related field; Master's or PhD preferred.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or equivalent registration in Ontario preferred.
Experience
Minimum 15-20 years of progressive experience in air quality, GHG, or climate change consulting, including 10+ years in senior leadership roles.
Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following: land use compatibility studies, expert witness testimony, ambient air monitoring, air quality assessment and modeling (AERMOD, CALPUFF, ASHRAE)
Demonstrated expertise in the following areas is considered an asset: regulatory compliance and permitting, and GHG quantification and industrial decarbonization planning.
Proven track record of delivering complex projects and managing large project portfolios.
Experience with business development, client relationship management, and operational oversight.
Technical & Leadership Skills
Advanced knowledge of Canadian and international air quality and GHG regulations, standards, and reporting frameworks.
Strong understanding of decarbonization strategies and net zero planning.
Proficiency with air quality and GHG modeling software, data management platforms, and digital tools.
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to deliver effective presentations to large groups.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
Active membership in relevant professional associations.
